Liberals Hold Slight Lead

The latest Canadian Press-Harris/Decima measure of voting intention reveals:

Nationally, the Liberals hold a four point lead. Over the last two weeks, they stand at 33%, to 29% for the Conservatives, 24% for the NDP, 6% for the Greens and 6% for the BQ.

 

 

  • The Liberals hold a seven point lead in the province of Quebec. Here, they stand at 32%, to 25% for the BQ, 23% for the NDP, 14% for the Conservatives, and 4% for the Greens.
  • In Ontario, the Liberals stand at 38%, the Conservatives 33%, the NDP 20% and the Greens 5%.
  • In BC, the Conservatives are at 33%, the NDP 29%, the Liberals 28% and the Greens 10%.
  • The Conservatives are well in front on the Prairies. In Alberta, they stand at 45%, to 26% for the NDP, 20% for the Liberals and 6% for the Greens. In Manitoba and Saskatchewan, the Conservatives stand at 45%, the Liberals 26%, the NDP 23%, and the Greens 5%.
  • In Atlantic Canada, the Liberals stand at 44%, the NDP 30%, the Conservatives 19%, and the Greens 4%.

Each week, Harris/Decima interviews just over 1000 Canadians through teleVox, the company’s national telephone omnibus survey. This two week data were gathered from August 29 to September 9, 2013 for 2,020 completes. A sample of the same size has a margin of error of 2.2%, 19 times out of 20.
